CCIA Bids Fond Farewell to General Manager Anne Brunet-Burgess

The Canadian Cattle Identification Agency (CCIA) bid a fond farewell to its long serving General Manager, Anne Brunet-Burgess, in December. Anne had led the CCIA since 2015, building a strong reputation within industry as a highly knowledgeable and passionate advocate of Canada’s traceability program for livestock. Besides strengthening the CCIA’s reputation amongst producers and industry stakeholders, Anne has also helped the Agency spearhead several successful value-added programs that have built on the data management knowledge and expertise the CCIA has gained through the ongoing development of the Canadian Livestock Traceability System (CLTS) database.

Both senior staff and board members paid tribute to Anne’s contributions to industry at the CCIA’s December board meeting in Calgary.

Anne leaves the CCIA to join the agriculture division of MNP and will be greatly missed by staff and colleagues. The CCIA wishes her well in her future endeavors. News regarding Anne’s successor will be published in due course.
