On July 22, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Hon. Marie-Claude Bibeau visited Manitoba to see firsthand how the drought conditions were impacting producers. CCA worked with Manitoba Beef Producers to arrange a visit of a beef farm in the Interlake region. The Minister finished the day with an announcement of initial measures the Government of Canada is taking, understanding more needs to be done. Manitoba Beef Producers President Tyler Fulton also took part in the announcement and press conference. CCA has since met with Minister Bibeau to continue discussions of the additional measures needed.
