On Friday, July 22, 2022, Federal, Provincial, and Territorial (FPT) Ministers of Agriculture announced the contents of the Next Agricultural Policy Framework, to be known as the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). CCA released a statement welcoming $500 million in new funds, which represents a 25 per cent increase from the previous Framework. On Wednesday, July 20, CCA staff also participated in an Industry-Ministerial roundtable and networking event in Saskatoon on the side of the FPT Ministers’ meeting where the Sustainable CAP was negotiated. Jessica Radau, Youth Leadership Coordinator and Tyler Fulton, Officer at Large, spoke on behalf of CCA and reiterated our priorities for the Next Agricultural Policy Framework.
