Updated: Oct 18, 2022

The Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock (GASL) is hosting their virtual North American regional consultation on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (CDT).

Mackenzie Argent

The event features 2020 Cattlemen’s Young Leaders’ (CYL) graduate and young beef producer from Cremona, Alberta, Mackenzie Argent, on the “Next Generation’s Perspective” panel discussion. Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, Executive Director, Monica Hadarits, will also be presenting at the event to provide a Canadian beef industry perspective on sustainability.

The theme of the North American Consultation is sustainability, and the steps that organizations and individuals are taking to ensure the livestock sectors in the United States and Canada remain a key component of a sustainable food system.

This work will feed into the GASL international event happening in October in Ireland.
