If you happened to watch BNN or Global Toronto or Montreal stations over the weekend, you may have seen a segment from Canadian Better Living "Food Scape" with Rick Campanelli. This was the second in a series through a partnership to showcase the importance of the beneficial role of cattle for Canada's grassland ecosystem - a collaboration between the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB), the Canadian beef industry's Public and Stakeholder Engagement Program, Ducks Unlimited Canada, and the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC).
This segment featured Cherie Copithrone-Barnes defining beef sustainability, explaining how the CRSB got started, and how the CRSB Certified program helps demonstrate sustainability in Canadian beef production. Kevin Teneycke of NCC talks about how the CRSB's sustainability benchmarking and certified assurance programs help lend credibility and build consumer trust.
