Every year, CCA hosts “producer fly-ins” in Ottawa to connect beef producers with government representatives to discuss Canadian beef industry priorities.
On September 23 and 24, Saskatchewan producers Dean Moore and Kyle Hebert joined CCA staff in meetings with seven MPs, Senator Todd Lewis, and the Honorable Buckley Belanger, Secretary of State. Key issues for Saskatchewan included irrigation, business risk management programs, the risk of animal disease outbreak, and international trade.
