CCA hosted a reception at the National Arts Centre on Wednesday, October 8 with support from FCC, Canada Beef and the National Cattle Feeders’ Association.
Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Heath MacDonald gave formal remarks at the event which was an opportunity for Parliamentarians, policy makers and stakeholders to mingle with CCA directors, producers and staff in a relaxed and informal setting.

CCA's The Environmental Stewardship Award (TESA) national recipient for 2024 Holdanca Farms, owned and operated by father-daughter duo John and Maria Duynisveld, travelled to Ottawa for the reception where they were introduced and recognized. They were also recognized by their MP Alana Hirtle in the House of Commons for successful environmental sustainability efforts.
The reception was a tremendous opportunity to get to know each other and share some delicious nutritious Canadian beef. CCA hosts events such as these to help strengthen relationships that lead to opportunities to have more in-depth discussions with engaged decision makers. We also enjoy highlighting Canadian beef.
