CCA has created a platform document outlining priorities of Canadian beef producers. We encourage beef producers to refer to this document and to reach out to your provincial association when meeting with your local candidates and ask them how they're going to help our industry should they get elected.

If we want to grow our herd, supply the growing demand for protein around the world while keeping costs down for Canadians and ensuring global food security, we need to ensure government policies, legislation, and regulations do not hold us back. CCA has prepared recommendations so that we can reduce the barriers facing our farmers and ranchers that come at low or no cost to government. These solutions are critical to ensure economic growth.

You can view the document outlining our platform priorities on our website at https://www.cattle.ca/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Growing_Our_Herd.pdf

CCA encourages all Canadians to review the platform of each party that has a candidate running in their riding. Contact your MP and ask questions about decisions that were made and where they stand on issues of importance to you. Attend local debates, reach out to candidates, and make an informed decision to find the party that best represents your interests. And most importantly, get out and exercise your democratic right to vote on Monday, April 28!
