Government of Canada - June 18

To date, 600 retail milk samples from across Canada have been tested. All samples have tested negative.

Milk pasteurization study results - conducted by the CFIA and Health Canada - provide additional reassurance that pasteurization is effective in inactivating the HPAI virus in milk.

To date, HPAI has not been found in beef cattle in Canada or the US and beef testing has concluded that beef continues to be safe.
