The Canadian Cattle Association continues to engage in international settings to promote Canadian beef as a high-quality, nutrient-dense protein produced in an environmentally conscious manner. The World Food Forum, hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), has a large youth focus that provides an excellent opportunity to engage and amplify the message that we need more, not less, sustainably produced foods like Canadian beef.
You are invited to join us virtually on Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 am - 8:00 am MT for "Future Leaders: Youth Advancing Livestock Sustainability"; a collaborative virtual side event empowering the next generation in the global livestock sector as part of the World Food Forum.
Co-hosted by the Canadian Cattle Association, the Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock (GASL) Youth Advisory Group, Nuffield International, World Farmers’ Organisation and NGIN, this virtual side event fosters an inclusive environment for young farmers and professionals to share knowledge and drive positive change. Topics include livestock's role in nurturing biodiversity and responsibly managing grasslands, wetlands, forests, soil and water. The event features case studies on programs and youth-led initiatives to build young leaders in the livestock sector to provide inspiration and practical ideas for attendees to look to create local action.
