New Canadian agriculture advocacy campaign launched

Updated: Jun 30, 2020

The Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) is pleased to partner with the Canadian Federation of Agriculture on a new advocacy campaign aimed at raising public awareness of the support farmers require due to impacts of COVID-19. Other participating groups include Syngenta, Nutrien and the Canadian Pork Council. Titled “Food for Thought,” the campaign graphics focus on the rising cost of food, the number of jobs that agriculture employs and how the future of the country is tied to our ability to produce food.

All advertisements will lead to a landing site that encourages visitors to send a letter to their local Member of Parliament (MP) to demonstrate their support for farmers. The goal of the campaign is to encourage the public to voice their support for increased investment in the agriculture sector from the federal government. The digital advertisements launched June 17 and will run for approximately six weeks. Stay tuned to more updates on this campaign through the CCA’s social media channels and visit the website today to submit your letter: www.supportcanadianfood.ca.
