Updates on H5N1 Beef Safety Studies

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and Agriculture Research Service (ARS) are announcing results from the ground beef cooking study. Ground beef patties were inoculated with high concentration of an H5N1 virus surrogate. Burgers booked to 145 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit had no virus remaining in the beef.
