On May 2, 2022, Duane Thompson, Environment Committee Chair together with Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) staff, Fawn Jackson, appeared at the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food on their study titled, Environmental Benefits of Agriculture. CCA appeared in June 2021 on the same study, and this appearance allowed us to provide more detail to explain the positive role of Canadian beef cattle on the environment, including our 2030 goals, significant land use concerns, and our recommendation to approve feed additives for methane emission reduction.
