Consultations:
Consultations on the Next Policy Framework is underway and CCA is involved in engagement sessions. More information here.
The House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance is accepting briefs for their Pre-Budget 2022 study. CCA will be submitting a brief to the committee. More information here.
Advocacy Activities:
This Spring, CCA hosted most provinces in virtual fly-ins focusing on the environment, trade, transportation and risk management. The public launch of the Guardians of the Grasslands in May was a great advocacy tool and opportunity to promote the film and share the environmental benefits of cattle production in Canada.
There were many new faces we met with who are eager to learn more about the beef sector, which is a perfect transition into hosting Parliamentarians on tours of beef farms and ranches across Canada this summer.
