Beginning in January 2022, Statistics Canada will be contacting farm operators to complete the Farm Management Survey. This survey is an important opportunity to showcase how farm operators care for the environment while providing Canadians with the agricultural products they want and need.
Results from this survey will be used by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada to make informed decisions on existing programs and policies and to develop new agricultural programs. Similarly, organizations like ours use agricultural data to learn from the larger farming community and establish best practices.
In support of farmers impacted by severe weather across the country, survey collection will be adjusted as necessary as to not burden farm operations. If Statistics Canada asks you to complete the Farm Management Survey, please know that your participation is important.
