The Animal Health Emergency Management Project (AHEM) is delivering a free two-part virtual workshop to increase industry understanding of the basic concepts of emergency response protocols.
The emergency management workshop geared towards industry boards and associations is coming up in February and March, and takes an agricultural spin on Incident Command System (ICS) training. ICS training is what the federal and provincial government departments follow when responding to emergencies, including those related to agriculture such as floods, wildfires or significant disease outbreaks.
In this workshop, the basic content of ICS training is adapted for agriculture with realistic training examples and scenarios.
