As Manitoba works to realize its vision to be North America’s sustainable protein supplier of choice, it is mobilizing a network of collaborators who can contribute to sustainable protein initiatives. Last month, Manitoba hosted the Protein Summit to drive new investment and opportunities for Manitoba in both plant and animal protein.
While there is excitement for plant-based investments in the province, opportunities exist for meat producers and the beef sector. The beef industry does have representation in these conversations and going forward, it will be important to increase awareness of this initiative and engage when there is the chance to do so.
