Provincial fly-ins continue with Ontario and the Maritimes

It is a busy spring for producers and for the CCA Ottawa office as they continue organize meetings with parliamentarians during our provincial fly-ins to discuss priority files.

Last week, Ontario and the Maritimes met with House and Senate representatives regrading environmental initiatives, processing capacity, business risk management and transportation. Highlights included a meeting between Health Minister Hajdu and Reidridge Farm, a constituent in her riding and catching up with Minister Lawrence McLaughlin who, while now Minister of Veteran Affairs, is no stranger to the agriculture file. Several other notable meetings were captured in social media posts throughout the week.

We are grateful for the time CCA representatives devote to coordinating and participating in these meetings, especially during a busy time of year. They are an important element of CCA’s advocacy. More to come on future fly-ins, including with our other provincial members!
