The return of CCA’s Annual BBQ on the Hill is a big success!

Updated: Oct 18, 2022

It was great to be back in Ottawa on September 28th for the Canadian Cattle Association’s (CCA) annual BBQ on Parliament Hill to help kick off the fall session of Parliament. Thank you to Senator Rob Black for co-hosting the event with us.

This BBQ-style reception provided a friendly atmosphere for CCA directors and staff to reconnect with Parliamentarians and their staff and informally discuss the policy priorities of cattle producers in the lead up to the consultation for the next federal budget. A few select Parliamentarians joined the CCA leadership team behind the grill including: the Parliamentary Secretary to Agriculture, Francis Drouin, CPC Agriculture critic, John Barlow together with Opposition Leader, Pierre Poilievre, Liberal AGRI Chair, Kody Blois, BQ Agriculture critic Yves Perron, and Senator Rob Black.

It was great to have so many of our Parliamentary colleagues, new and old, join us for a delicious and nutritious burger made from certified sustainable beef - a fitting touch following our successful “Don’t Label My Beef” campaign last spring.
