The Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB) is updating the National Beef Sustainability Assessment (NBSA), measuring farm to fork national sustainability performance metrics for the Canadian beef sector, from environmental, social and economic perspectives.

The metrics from the first assessment, released in 2016, are widely used to demonstrate Canada’s global sustainability leadership, and are critically important to the beef industry’s communication and advocacy efforts.

An online producer survey is underway – a chance for Canadian beef producers to contribute current beef production data, which are critical inputs for many of our sustainability performance metrics. The full assessment, expected in 2023, will show current performance, and will shine a light on the progress already made.

CRSB is looking for a minimum of 500 beef producers to complete the survey, so WE NEED YOU!

Be one of the first 200 producers to complete your survey, and you will receive a $20 gift card as a token of our appreciation for taking the time to contribute.

All completed survey responses will be entered into a random draw for a grand prize of a tag reader ($1,100 value), generously donated by the Canadian Cattle Identification Agency. A series of other amazing regional prizes, valued at a total of nearly $4,000, curated from contributions received from across the beef supply chain and beyond, will be awarded via a random draw from all eligible survey respondents. Thank you to the amazing network of CRSB members who understand the value of this work and have contributed to these prizes as a recognition of your time and effort.
