With the federal election past, CCA is gearing up fall advocacy plans

Following the Canadian federal election on Monday, September 20, which resulted in another Liberal minority government, there is an appetite to get back to Ottawa. The Canadian Cattlemen's Association (CCA) is readying our fall advocacy plans as we wait for the Cabinet announcement and a timeline for the House of Commons to return. With current COVID-19 restrictions, we will likely continue to see an in-person/virtual hybrid of Parliament.

During the writ period, CCA reached out to all political parties, shared our priorities for Canada’s beef industry and provided a questionnaire on a few of our top advocacy priorities. The Liberal Party, Conservative Party and New Democrat Party provided responses which you can view by clicking here.

CCA has compared party platforms and reviewed the parties’ responses, and will take into consideration the various political priorities as we begin our fall advocacy activities.
